Welcome to the Contemplative Academy where I introduce Contemplative Education, outlining the growing need for it in education and other sectors, and describe the services I provide.  While I primarily work in the field of education I can bring my experience and insight from this area into non-profit, corporate, health and other sectors.  Please contact me if you would like to collaborate, have questions or comments, or if you are interested in engaging me for consultancy, to lecture, present workshops, conduct research on Contemplative Education, Studies or Art, develop contemplative curriculum, including evaluation methods, or design a contemplative orientation for your institution.

These are just a few of the increasing number of organizations that provide resources, workshops and conferences in the area of contemplative education, studies and science:
The current re-emergence of contemplative education is said to have started with the opening of the Centre for Contemplative Mind in Society (CCMS), in Massachusetts in 1995.  They provide many useful resources and links:  http://www.contemplativemind.org/resources/higher-education/links

A good overview of contemplative practice with some guided practices http://www.contemplativemind.org/practices

They also list a range of degree programs in contemplative studies: http://www.contemplativemind.org/resources/study

Plus K-12 programs: http://www.contemplativemind.org/resources/k-12

I like the CCMIS’s holistic and inclusive way of understanding contemplative practice as outlined in their Tree of Contemplative Practice: http://www.contemplativemind.org/practices/tree

The CCMIS also hosts the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education: http://www.contemplativemind.org/programs/acmhe

They have a great yearly conference and have some very interesting webinars:

The Mind and Life Institute provides resources, seminars and conferences and some interesting contemplative studies initiatives: https://www.mindandlife.org/

The Mindfulness in Education Network (MiEN) like the ACMHE hosts a yearly conference and has some great resources: http://www.mindfuled.org/

The Garrison Institute has a number of programs, retreats and gatherings to support contemplative educators and a small contemplative teaching initiative: http://www.garrisoninstitute.org/contemplation-and-education
They also have a large Contemplative Education Program database:
