Commercial Art
Patricia's early training in textile design led to the development of a business in textile art and painting, in which she carried out commissions for fashion and interior designers and private indvidual's. She maintained a design studio for seventeen years in Wellington, New Zealand, where she produced hand-painted meterage for clothing and interiors, three dimensional sculptural work, flat-pattern designs for industry and costume design. She has also worked as an Art Director, Illustrator and Art and Design tutor at Wellington Polytechnic, WEA Wellington and on Youth at Risk Programs for the Department of Labour, Wellington.

- Costume design, Royal New Zealand School of Ballet, and Acorn Playhouse, Wellington, 1984, 1985
- A two-season commission of textile design work, from Studio 33, Como Italy, 1989.
- Textile sculptures commissioned by Athfield Architects, for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Wellington and the DFC building, Wellington, 1987, 1990.
- Hand-painted fabric for Cactus and Rose's, 'shirt series', Milan, Italy, 1990.
- Costume and Set Design for Robert Wood Dance, New York, USA, 1985, 1988, 2000, 2005.
- Hand-painted fabric for a series of wedding dresses for private clients, 1987-1990.
- Set design for an Early Music production of Stockhausen's Tierkreis: Signs of the Zodiac, at the Wellington Fringe Festival, 1993.
- Art Direction for Auckland City Council's First Night, their New Years Eve Celebration, 1999.
- Hand-painted designs for the Zambezi, which were shown at London's Fashion Week, 2000.
